At a glance
This kitchen renovation in Bridle Path, Toronto covers approximately 80 square feet. It took 6 months from start to finish, with a project budget of $100,000 to $150,000. Main materials: Taj Mahal quartzite, custom millwork.
The brief
The clients' kitchen layout wasn't working. The room was too dark and not functional for daily use, and it needed a plan that fixed both before any finishes were chosen.
What we did
The quartzite's natural pattern became the starting point for every other decision. We fixed the lighting problems in the room, chose warm finishes that sit well beside the stone, and kept the rest of the palette quiet so the quartzite carries the room.
Highlights
- Taj Mahal quartzite on the counters and backsplash
- Custom millwork cabinetry designed for storage and daily use
- High-end appliances built into the cabinetry
- Warm finishes that complement the stone
- Installed by skilled local fabricators
The result
A kitchen where the stone does the talking. The layout solves the practical problems first, and the materials are allowed to stand on their own without extra decoration.
